This Wednesday, July 13th, at 7 pm the 18th Annual Celebration of Life Service will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Route 60, in Dunkirk at 7 pm.
All are invited to join the pro-life community in song and prayer to remember all unborn babies lost by abortion. We come together each year to celebrate life and offer a time and place where anyone can come if they so choose. The shrine itself is a permanent place for meditation at any time.
Fr. Dennis Riter, Pastor of St Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish and Vicar of the Chautauqua Vicariate will be the Presider and Main Speaker. The Knights of Columbus will be present as Honor Guard.
Included in the service this year will be a special prayer for Baby Jesse who was buried March 14, 2015 across from the shrine in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Sponsored by the PLCCC = Pro Life Committee of Chautauqua County
The Pro Life Committee of Chautauqua County (PLCCC) promotes events that recognize the sanctity of God-given life. PLCCC draws attention to the fundamental wrong of abortion, and the need to end it in this country. We spread the news of God’s willingness to forgive any and all who have participated in the abortion process, and seek reconciliation with God. We encourage prayer to accomplish these ends.
The PLCCC includes the parishes of the greater Chautauqua County vicariate, including Westfield, Brocton, Fredonia, Dunkirk, Forestville and Silver Creek. We raise awareness of the Right to Life Issue through: Promoting the Pilgrimage for Life in Washington DC to mark the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Divine Mercy Novena for Life during Easter Season, Cemetery of Innocents, and the Life Chain to be held this year on Sunday, October 2, 2016.
