Life Chain Sunday October 1st
October is Respect Life Month. This year the Life Chain will be held on Sunday, October 1st, 2017. It is a silent presence of people holding signs along the streets, urging people to consider how important life is from conception to natural death. The Pro Life Committee of Chautauqua sponsors this event every year in conjunction with a larger Life Chain held on Niagara Falls Blvd in the Buffalo area.
We invite you to join us! The Life Chain will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. beginning at Blessed Mary Angela Church (St. Hyacinth location) on Lake Shore Drive and Pangolin Streets. It will then head west to Central Ave. At that point the life chain will go south on Central Ave all the way to Fredonia State College. Our route is long but we do not march. We find a comfortable place along the route to sit or stand and hold our signs in silence.
Posters will be available at the church at 1:30 p.m. The actual chain formation is from 2 to 3 p.m. If you cannot pick up a sign, you can make your own, or just stand along the route and a car will come by and hand you one to hold.
You may also see signs this year that say “St. Gianna Pregnancy Outreach Center”, 103 E. Doughty Street, Dunkirk NY. Perhaps a desperate pregnant mom without support will realize we are here to help. To learn more, call the center at 716- 203-7593.
Please join us for Life Chain this Sunday, October 1st. For information, call Pat at 716-207-6509.
